1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account, publishing a profile, sending a message or simply using the site, you agree to these terms — including the Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. Clicking a button to accept is a valid way to enter an agreement under the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth). If you do not agree, do not use CcAHub.
You must be 18 or older, and you must be able to enter a binding contract. If you use CcAHub for a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
2. Your account
One account per person, and one profile per account. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens through your account — and keep your details accurate, because a company decides whether to get in touch based on them. If you think someone else has access to your account, change the password and tell us.
Accounts are not transferable, and the profile belongs to the person who registered it and whose credentials it lists. You can close your account at any time by asking us (see Closing your account below).
3. Your public profile and its address
A new profile is published by default, at an address minted from your name — ccahub.me/your-name. You can change the address in Settings and you can unpublish the profile with one switch, which takes it out of search results and off the homepage.
An address you stop using keeps answering: it redirects to your current one, so a link printed on a quote or a ute still works after you rename. That redirect lasts as long as the profile exists; if you close the account, it stops. An address is yours while you hold it, and once you leave it, someone else may claim it later.
4. Your content
You own what you upload. By publishing it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, resize, crop, re-encode and display it for the purpose of running CcAHub — your public profile, search results and the dashboard. That licence ends when you remove the content or close the account, apart from copies that must be kept for legal reasons or that sit in backups. To the extent that resizing, cropping or re-encoding touches your moral rights under Part IX of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), you consent to it.
You must have the right to publish everything you upload. Photos taken on someone else’s site may need that site owner’s or the client’s permission, and a photo of a person may need theirs — getting that permission is your responsibility, not ours.
5. Accuracy, licences and insurance
Everything on your profile must be true. Do not name a licence, certification, insurance policy or qualification you do not hold, and do not describe work you did not do. Misleading a company about your credentials can breach the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) and the licensing law of your state or territory, and it will end your account here.
CcAHub does not check the credentials a profile lists. Licences, certifications and insurance are shown as you gave them, with the issuer you named, and it is the company’s job to check the register. Holding the licence your work requires, and doing the work lawfully, remains yours: licensing, work health and safety, insurance, tax and superannuation obligations are all yours, not ours.
6. Using CcAHub properly
Do not use CcAHub to:
- collect profiles or contact details in bulk, by scraping, crawling or automated means
- send spam, chain messages or the same enquiry to many professionals at once
- impersonate anyone, or create a profile for a person or business you do not represent
- discriminate unlawfully — including on the basis of race, sex, age, disability, pregnancy, religion or marital status
- post anything unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or infringing someone else’s rights
- upload a virus, probe or break the security of the platform, or interfere with anyone else’s use of it
- copy the site, its design, its code or its data for a competing service
We rate-limit the public pages and the contact form, and we may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
7. Messages between users
CcAHub carries messages; it does not screen them. An enquiry is the sender’s responsibility, and a reply is yours. We do not read messages to check their accuracy, and we do not guarantee that a person or company is who they say they are — treat an approach from a stranger exactly as you would anywhere else, and check the credentials and the paperwork before you start work or pay anything.
You can read, answer, archive or delete each message from your dashboard. We may remove content or report a matter to the eSafety Commissioner or the police where the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth) or another law requires it.
8. What CcAHub is not
- We are not an employment agency, a labour hire provider or anyone’s agent.
- We are not a party to anything the professional and the company agree — the scope, the price, the schedule and the quality of the work are between them.
- We do not process payments, hold deposits or act as an escrow.
- We do not supervise work, and we are not responsible for work health and safety on any site.
- We do not guarantee that a professional will find work, or that a company will find the right professional.
- We do not endorse any professional, and we do not verify a company’s identity.
9. Third-party services
The site uses Google Fonts, Google Maps and Google Places for address suggestions, and offers optional Google sign-in. When those services load, Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that interaction. Links from CcAHub to any other site are there for convenience; we are not responsible for what is on them.
10. Who owns the platform
The CcAHub name, logo, design, code and the data we hold are ours or our licensors’. These terms do not transfer any of it to you. You keep the rights in your own content, and you can take it with you: the dashboard shows and edits everything your profile holds.
11. Availability and changes to the platform
CcAHub is free, and we work to keep it up, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Features change as the product develops: we may add, alter or retire parts of it, and we will give reasonable notice of anything that materially removes something you rely on. You should keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
12. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, we limit it to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows: CcAHub is provided “as is”; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or lost work, or for anything the professional and the company do or fail to do between themselves; and our total liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you have paid us for it, which — the service being free — is nil.
13. Indemnity
You indemnify CcAHub against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs that arise from your breach of these terms, from content you upload or publish, or from your unlawful use of the platform. This does not cover anything caused by our own breach, negligence or wilful misconduct.
14. Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — a false credential, a scraping tool, an unlawful message — and where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you the chance to answer first. Serious or repeated breaches can end the account immediately.
To close your own account, open Settings → Delete account and type your name to confirm. That deletes the account, the profile and the media attached to it, and the addresses that pointed at the profile stop answering. What survives is described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you and CcAHub submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts. If a clause is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms stand.
16. Changes to these terms
We will update these terms when the platform or the law changes, and the date at the top will move with it. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell account holders by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use CcAHub after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, close your account.
Questions about these terms can go to support@ccahub.com.au or 1800 222 482, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM AEST.
